Veteran actor Ramesh Deo passed away at the age of 93 after suffering a heart attack on February 2. His son and filmmaker Abhinay Deo said that the veteran actor had heart complications and had also undergone a bypass surgery. He is survived by wife Seema Deo and sons Abhinay and Ajinkya Deo. Abhinay Deo has directed notable films like ‘Delhi Belly’ and ‘Blackmail’. On the other hand Ajinkya is a well-known actor in Hindi and Marathi cinema. Ramesh ji who made his acting debut in a cameo in the 1951-Marathi film 'Paatlaachi Por' worked in more than 200 Hindi films, 100 Marathi films and several Marathi dramas with over 200 showings in his long career. His breakthrough performance in Marathi movies was in the 1956-film ‘Andhala magto ek dola’. He made his Hindi film debut in 1962 with Rajshri productions’ ‘Aarti’. Ramesh Deo has also contributed immensely in Marathi cinema and theatre. Ramesh Deo’s other films include ‘Khilona’, ‘Rampur Ka Lakshman’, ‘Kora Kagaz’ and more. He shared screen space with legends like Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan in ‘Bansi birju’, Rajesh Khanna in ‘Anand’ to name some.
