The newly-elected MP of Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress, Nusrat Jahan, who has been lately under attack by Muslim clerics for wearing sindoor and mangalsutra post her wedding to Nikhil Jain, recently attended Iskcon's Rath Yatra. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee pulled the chariot at the procession but it was Nusrat's presence which was seen as a message. Talking to the reporters, Nusrat said that the CM celebrates Eid with everyone and there is no politics in this. She added that we should keep politics and religion apart. Feeling blessed on witnessing the event, she further said that 'Young India stands for inclusive India, secularism, humanity.'
