Amid controversy, 'The Kerala Story' gets tax-free in Madhya Pradesh; CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan says 'the film makes people aware about love-jihad'

The controversial film 'The Kerala Story', which narrates the story of a group of women who converted to Islam and turned terrorists, has been declared the film tax-free in Madhya Pradesh. Taking to his Twitter handle, the Chief Minister of the state, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, shared a video, saying the film makes people aware of love-jihad and also throws light on how the girls get trapped in the name of religion. Notably, the film, which got released in theatres on May 5th, sparked controversy due to its sensitive topics like love-jihad, terrorism, and religion, but made Rs 8.03 crore on its opening day.
