Anurag Kashyap receives death threat, Mumbai Police to take action

Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap, along with 48 prominent Bollywood personalities recently wrote an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressing their concerns over the alarmingly disturbing rise of mob lynching cases in the country. Days later, Anurag Kashyap took to Twitter to alert the Mumbai police about a recent death threat made to him. In the tweet, which is no longer available, the Twitter user reportedly intimidated Kashyap by telling him that he had recently cleaned his rifle and shotgun and is waiting to see the director in person. Mumbai police was quick to respond and asked Kashyap to file a police complaint at the nearest police station while they proceed with the investigation.
