‘BR House’, the iconic Juhu bungalow of veteran filmmaker BR Chopra sold for Rs 183 crores

Well-known Bollywood filmmaker BR Chopra owned a 25000 sq. ft bungalow in Mumbai’s Juhu locality. And as per recent reports, the bungalow has been sold for a whopping Rs. 183 crores to K Raheja Corp who is planning to develop a premium residential project on the plot. Renu Ravi Chopra, the wife of Ravi Chopra and daughter-in-law of BR Chopra, reportedly entrusted the property to the popular real estate developer. Reports also stated that the company has paid a stamp duty of nearly Rs 11 crore for the registration of the deal. BR Chopra, known for iconic hit films like ‘Naya Daur’, ‘Kanoon’, ‘Insaf ka tarazu’ and many more, conducted all his business meetings from the BR house which was an indelible part of Bollywood lore.
