Deepika Padukone rings in her birthday at a cafe run by acid attack survivors in Lucknow

The mood at Sheroes Hangout Café in Lucknow was upbeat as the girls there waited for Deepika Padukone to come and celebrate her birthday with them. The girls, all acid attack survivors, dressed beautifully with jhumkas, colourful bangles, lipstick and kajal adorning their lips and eyes, to welcome the actress who was playing their friend and colleague Laxmi Agarwal on screen in Meghna Gulzar’s Chhapaak. Dressed in a golden chikan sharara, Deepika was all smiles as she walked into the café with director Meghna, co-actor Vikrant Massey, Laxmi and Alok Dixit.
