Dharmendra is concerned about Saira Banu's health after her hospitalisation: 'It must have been tough for her after Dilip Kumar’s demise'

Veteran actress Saira Banu, who has been admitted to Mumbai's Hinduja Hospital a couple of days ago after she complained of blood pressure-related issues, has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) ward of the hospital on Wednesday. Saira Banu’s husband, legendary actor Dilip Kumar died on July 7 at the age of 98. Saira Banu, who had been married to the late actor for 54 glorious years, was his pillar of strength, confidante and their love story continues to inspite millions of fans. She often addressed him as her 'Kohinoor'. Saira Banu, who had dedicated her life to taking care of her 'Sahab', these past few years before his passing, was heartbroken when he succumbed to age related issues. Many personalities from the film fraternity attended Dilip Kumar's funeral - AND among them was veteran actor Dharmendra, who idolised the late, and often referred to him as his elder brother. At this very moment, Dharmendra finds himself extremely concerned about Saira Banu’s health. When ETimes contacted, the veteran actor, he said that he had briefly spoken to Saira ji a few days ago and she had told him she wasn't keeping too well. He said, and I quote: 'I couldn't reach her and she had called back. She told me that she has not been keeping well.' The 85year-old actor further went on to add:"I did not ask too many questions but you can understand how she must be feeling after Dilip Kumar passed away. Sab kuch khaali khaali lag raha hoga (She must be feeling the void)." Dharmendra confirmed that he will try calling her again to inquire about her health while wishing the senior actress a speedy recovery.
