It is ‘unfortunate’: Director Sudipto Sen reacts to ‘The Kerala Story’ ban in West Bengal

Reacting to the West Bengal Government’s decision to ban ‘The Kerala Story’ for maintaining peace and harmony, the Film Director of ‘The Kerala Story’ Sudipto Sen on May 09 said that it was unfortunate. While speaking to ANI, he said that it is very unfortunate that Mamata Banerjee has banned the film without watching it.Sudipto Sen said, “It is very unfortunate that Mamata Banerjee without watching the film has banned it. Not a single untoward incident has happened in the state because of the film. The decision to ban the film is politically motivated. I request her to watch the film and then take any decision.” West Bengal Government on May 08 banned the screening of the film ‘The Kerala Story’.
