Read full story : Kabir Bedi reveals how he ended his open marriage with his wife Protima Gupta after he fell in love with Parveen Babi Veteran actor Kabir Bedi recently spoke about his open marriage with his former late wife Protima Gupta and made serious revelations in his upcoming autobiography which he penned during the lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic. While shedding out light on how he ended his marriage with his former wife after falling in love with the late legendary actress Parveen Babi, the actor revealed in his book that, 'There was no easy way to break the news to Protima but he managed to tell his wife about falling in love with Parveen on one of the nights he was going to meet the late actress. He further wrote that after a bit of confrontation 'she realised that our relationship had changed forever and she clung to me and burst out crying.' Further on, while explaining his marital relation with his late wife, he wrote, 'Our open marriage may have seemed like a good idea at first. In the end, it only caused me greater anxiety. It had led to a lack of intimacy between us. I didn't feel the love that I wanted, the caring and sharing I needed. Nor was I able to give it. The old magic had gone. I was feeling alone, empty and dejected. Parveen Babi filled that void.' He further expressed his fondness for the late actress Parveen Babi as he wrote, 'She was a ravishingly beautiful actress with fair skin, long black hair and dark, mesmerising eyes.' He mentioned in his book that according to him, she was always the girlfriend of Danny Denzongpa as she was living with him openly and was often spotted together. Kabir Bedi further said that the late actress was a firm believer in sexual fidelity which made him fall in love with her. For the unversed, Kabir Bedi and his late wife Protima Gupta, who had a daughter together Pooja Bedi, parted ways in the year 1977. Talking about Parveen Babi, the gorgeous actress passed away in 2005.
