Kareena Kapoor Khan says ‘stardom doesn’t matter’ anymore in film industry: ‘You can have 50 million followers but that doesn’t make you the biggest star’
Kareena Kapoor Khan who is promoting her upcoming film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ recently made some startling statements about stardom in Bollywood. In an interview with a news agency, the actress said ‘Today, there are no stars according to me. Everybody is an actor. There is no guarantee that tomorrow somebody’s film will take Rs 50 crore opening. Success and stardom doesn’t matter (anymore). Anybody can have 50 million followers (but that) doesn’t make you the biggest star in this country, not at all.’ Bebo also said ‘people now want to see content’ and that has changed due to the pandemic and OTT platforms. ‘Today, the stars are on their toes.
