Mom-to-be Dia Mirza says COVID 19 vaccines available in India aren’t tested on pregnant women, has been advised to not take inoculation

Popular Bollywood actress Dia Mirza who is all set to embrace motherhood with husband Vaibhav Rekhi is having the best time of her life. Now, recently taking to her social media handle, the 'Sanju' actress emphasized on the importance of keeping pregnant and lactating women safe amid the COVID-19 pandemic. She also, added that her doctor has advised her against inoculation ‘until required clinical trials have been done’. Dia responded to a tweet concerning about a surge in maternal deaths due to Covid-19, which says, 'I’d like to reiterate the need to protect pregnant women from new infections by following all COVID appropriate behaviour, the need to continue a push for effective vaccination amongst pregnant women, the need to defer fertility treatments when infections are surging'.
