After the emergence of Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone's name in the drug probe, Lok Sabha MP Navaneet Kaur Rana in her interview has said that she was 'shocked' with the new allegations. Rana in her interview said, 'What charges are we talking about? Some chats that happened 3 years ago in 2017? If we are so serious about this drug investigation, then why aren’t we considering the video that came out one year ago?'. Furthermore, referring to Karan Johar's viral video from 2019, she said 'the visuals of Karan's party had the big shots from Bollywood that's why investigations got scrapped within months.
