Even though there were several media reports saying that Anupam Kher-starrer 'The Accidental Prime Minister' might be banned in Madhya Pradesh, the Congress-led MP government clarified that they have made no such decision. The Department of Public Relations of the MP government tweeted that they have not banned the film. The film has sparked a row over alleged distortion of facts. The film is based on the book by Manmohan Singh's media advisor Sanjay Baru, and the book is banned in Madhya Pradesh. 'The Accidental Prime Minister' is set to hit the theatres on January 11, 2019.
