As the nation is mourning the loss of one of Bollywood's greatest actors Dilip Kumar, condolences are pouring in from Pakistan as well. Now, Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has also expressed his deepest grief and sorrow after hearing the tragic news. While recalling the generosity of the late actor, Imran Khan took to his Twitter handle and penned a note which read, 'Saddened to learn of Dilip Kumar's passing. I can never forget his generosity in giving his time to help raise funds for SKMTH when the project launched. This is the most difficult time - to raise the first 10% of the funds & his appearance in Pak & London helped raise huge amounts.' In another tweet, he praised the actor for his impeccable acting skills as he wrote, 'Apart from this, for my generation Dilip Kumar was the greatest and most versatile actor.' For the unversed, Dilip Kumar was born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan on December 11, 1922, in Peshawar city, now in Pakistan. He had been admitted to the intensive care unit of Hinduja Hospital on June 29 following complaints of breathlessness. He was diagnosed with bilateral pleural effusion and was undergoing treatment for the same but succumbed to the illness as confirmed by the doctor treating the veteran actor. He was 98 years of age and is survived by his wife Saira Banu. Earlier, informing about the same, the late actor's family friend Faisal Farooqui took to the actor's official Twitter handle that he and the actor's wife manage as he issued a statement that read, 'With a heavy heart and profound grief, I announce the passing away of our beloved Dilip Saab, a few minutes ago. We are from God and to Him, we return. - Faisal Farooqui'. Dilip Kumar's career spans over five decades with hits such as 'Mughal-e-Azam', 'Devdas', 'Naya Daur', 'Ram Aur Shyam' and many others. He was last seen in the film 'Qila'.
