‘Slumdog Millionaire’ famed Rubina Ali Qureshi’s father passes away

Rubina Ali Qureshi, who played young Latika in Danny Boyle’s Oscar winning film ‘Slumdog Millionaire’, lost her father on January 30. He was suffering from tuberculosis. Rubina, who has been living separately with her mother in Nallasopara, moved out of the Bandra house, given to her by the Jai Ho trust. Her father was living in that house with her step mother and their five children. The 20-year-old Rubina is currently pursuing BA along with fashion designing and makeup courses. She is also working part-time at a makeup studio in Mumbai.
