Tanushree Dutta expresses displeasure over her Wikipedia profile: 'Calling me just an Indian model and diminishing my credentials bothering me'

Actress Tanushree Dutta, who has been away from the silver screen for quite a long time now, is an avid social media user and enjoys a massive number of followers out there. She got a reputation to voice her views and opinions on important issues firmly and boldly. Taking to her Instagram handle, the actress recently expressed her displeasure over her Wikipedia profile description and how she is unable to change it. She shared a picture of her and penned a note stating how the profile describes her only as an 'Indian Model' while other information about her got dropped off. She wrote, 'there's something that's been bothering me for a while. It's the Wikipedia profile on me. So it's got a lot totally wrong about me and calling me just an Indian Model and diminishing my credentials. I tried changing, but it keeps coming back to the same stuff.' She further added, 'I'm a Miss India Universe & Bollywood actress/star, so don't know why it says Indian Model. It is the first thing people check when they google a public figure for work/awards etc & mine is all weird. Imagine after doing so much in just one life I can't even have a straightforward, uplifting & accurate Wikipedia presentation.' She concluded the note by adding, 'Maybe the scriptures are right & my rewards & recognition are going to be in Heaven after all. Anyways I've renounced losing this kind of weird stuff coz looks like I can't do much about it!'. Meanwhile, on the work front, after winning the title at the Miss India pageant in 2004, Tanushree made her Bollywood debut with the film ‘Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets' in 2005. Post this, she featured in films like 'Aashiq Banaya Aapne', 'Bhagam Bhag', 'Good Boy Bad Boy' and others. She was last seen in the 2010 film 'Apartment'.
