Vivek Agnihotri, Hansal Mehta voice for same sex marriage: 'It’s a human need'

At a time when the country is debating on same-sex marriage getting social acceptance, as a Constitution bench of the Supreme Court, is hearing centre’s application about their views on it, filmmaker Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri expressed his views. Reacting to a tweet, Vivek wrote, “NO. Same sex marriage is not an ‘urban elitist’ concept. It’s a human need. Maybe some sarkari (government) elites drafted it, who have never travelled in small towns and villages. Or Mumbai locals. First, same sex marriage is not a concept. It’s a need. It’s a right. And in a progressive, liberal and inclusive civilisation like Bharat, same sex marriage should be normal, not a crime.” Hansal Mehta too extended his support and tweeted, "Come on Supreme Court!
