Singer-composer Amrutha Suresh, while sharing her Onam memories with us, thanked her parents for creating beautiful Onam memories for her. “Since childhood, we have been following all the traditions of Onam. We put pookalm like everybody and also do other rituals like keeping Thrikakkara Appan and so on. Even today, we make sure to not miss any of these rituals,” she says adding that this year due to Covid-19, there is less celebrations around. “Many are celebrating Onam virtually by performing Thiruvathirakali and creating Pookalams online,”she says. She also expressed her happiness in Malayalis trying their best to keep the spirit of Onam amidst pandemic. The singer also asked everyone to stay safe by being at home. “It is unfortunate that many among us are now affected by Covid-19, some are in hospitals, some in quarantine and the rest in fear. We need to overcome the current crisis by staying together so that we can celebrate Onam like usual next year,” she says. While concluding she wished everyone a happy Onam. Amrutha and her sister Abhirami is very popular among the youngsters for their songs and also their vlog. The duo had also participated in Bigg Boss Malayalam season 2. They entered the contest as special entry. The channel had to stop the season 2 of Bigg Boss due to the pandemic spread and the lockdown declared by the Government of India. Amrutha and Abhirami had created a lot of friends in the house including Rajith Kumar.
