Legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen passes away at 95

Legendary Bengali filmmaker Mrinal Sen passed away at 95. The Dada Saheb Phalke award recipient breathed last at his home in Kolkata. According to reports, he had a heart attack, and the caretaker, who was looking after him, informed the media about his death. He was best known for his films like ‘Baishey Sravan’ and ‘Bhuvan Shome’. Sen had received 18 National Awards during his career. Several celebrities and politicians including West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee mourned his death.
