Jayaka Yagnik calls Vadodara the garba capital of the world

Popular Gujarati actress Jayaka Yagnik, who hails from Vadodara, makes sure that she is in Vadodara during Navratri every year. She shares, “I take a lot of pride in the fact that I hail from the garba capital of the world! Where else can one see such huge circles of people doing the same moves? It’s a visual delight! Also, the city’s sheri garbas have a charm of their own. I remember participating in the famous sheri garba at the Sardar Bhavan’s Lane as a kid, and celebrating till 4 am. Atul Purohit is one of my favourite singers.”
