The role of a retired police officer in M Padmakumar’s Joseph has been a turning point in actor Joju George’s career. After a string of awards, the latest honour to reach him is the Filmfare South Award for Best Actor at the 66th Filmfare Awards South held in Chennai. “From my childhood, Filmfare is the most celebrated award function. I have been following it for the past 20 years and to get a Best Actor Filmfare Award, I’m at loss for words. I will be celebrating this and I super excited and elated,” said Joju, after receiving the award for his movie Joseph. The actor was nominated along with Jayasurya, Tovino Thomas, Soubin Shahir, Chemban Vinod and Prithviraj in the category.
