Nivin Pauly to team up with Sunny Wayne for Padavettu

After sharing screen space in Rosshan Andrrews’ period film Kayamkulam Kochunni, Mollywood actors Nivin Pauly and Sunny Wayne are teaming up again for debutant director Liju Krishna’s Padavettu. If Sunny played the villain in their previous collaboration, he will be bankrolling the upcoming project. Liju, who has also scripted the movie, tells us that team has “tried to observe and present the contemporary society in an interesting way”. “The movie will be set in a rural landscape. Nivin will play naadan character in the movie,” adds Liju, explaining that it will be a performance-oriented role. The first look of the film shows a man with a torch gazing at the stars against the backdrop of a hill. “The man is Nivin’s character and the poster explains the mood of the movie. That’s all I can reveal right now,” Liju explains. The movie, according to the director, will have many surprising characters. “Filming will begin by the end of this year with Kannur being the main location,” says Liju, who had earlier directed a play named Moments Just Before Death, which was also backed by Sunny Wayne.
