Director Zakariya’s Sudani from Nigeria has been a critically and commercially acclaimed movie, and the latest honour that has found the film is the Best Film award at the 66th Filmfare South Awards, held at Chennai. The filmmaker, soon after winning the award, told us, “It’s a great honour to win the award and all of us are proud because Filmfare is one of the prestigious awards in the country. Apart from the Best Film, Savithri Sreedharan won the Best Actor in Supporting Role (Female) and Soubin Shahir, the Critics Award for Best Actor (Male). So, we are all glad.”
