Marathi actress and 'Yuva Dancing Queen' judge Sonalee Kulkarni’s father Manohar Kulkarni sustained a knife injury on his arm after a man trespassed into their house on the morning of May 25 and reportedly attacked him. Police have arrested the man and launched a probe. In a conversation with ETimes, Sonalee talked about the incident and said, 'We don't know the trespasser's motive yet. Whether he was a fan or not. I am worried now and not in a condition to talk to anybody. I hope everyone will understand.' Sonalee Kulkarni is currently in Dubai with her husband Kunal Benodekar. The actress is worried for her family and especially her father who got injured today. The incident occurred at the actress’ residence in Nigdi, Pune when her parents were at home. The 24-year-old man reportedly entered their house by climbing up a pipe and then used the terrace. The man, held by police, is being interrogated. Well, Sonalee got engaged to beau Kunal Benodekar on Feb 2, 2020, in Dubai but surprisingly announced the news to her fans on the occasion of her birthday last year. Talking about Sonali, she is one of the leading film actresses of the entertainment industry who also has a few Bollywood films to her credit. Sonalee is a trained Bharatnatyam dancer. She started learning dance at the age of five. She is one of the established dancers of this industry. She hogged the limelight with her famous dance number 'Apsara Aali' from the movie 'Natrang'. Her stunning dance moves earned her the name Apsara. After entering a beauty contest, Sonalee stepped into the Marathi movie industry with Kedar Shinde's 'Bakula Namdev Ghotale' in which she played the lead role. She made her debut in Bollywood with the film 'Grand Masti' opposite actor Riteish Deshmukh.
