Venkat Prabhu reveals his plans for 'Maanaadu 2'

Venkat Prabhu has just delivered 'Maanaadu' featuring Silambarasan in the lead role, and the film is doing a rampage at the box office. Venkat Prabhu has recently revealed his plans for 'Maanaadu 2' in an interaction with the fans. Venkat Prabhu, Silambarasan, SJ Suryah, and other members of 'Maanaadu' interacted with fans through a Twitter space to express their gratitude towards the fans. In the meet, Venkat Prabhu has shared his ideas for making 'Maanaadu 2' and said that Abdul Khaaliq (Silambarasan) is donating blood to his friend and he is also trapped in the time loop. The director also has another plan of reuniting his two films 'Mankatha' and 'Maanaadu' characters using the time loop. Venkat Prabhu has also assured that 'Maanaadu 2' will happen for sure after he finishes his current commitments. Silambarasan and SJ Suryah characters will be there definitely in 'Maanaadu 2', and the director will announce the sequel once he completes developing the film story. 'Maanaadu' is about a time loop of a Muslim youngster Abdul Khaaliq played by Silambarasan, and his mission to save the Chief Minister from a shoot-out. The film has reportedly grossed close to Rs 30 crore at the end of its first weekend, and it has already transformed into a box office blockbuster. 'Maanaadu' also features Kalyani Priyadarshan, Premgi Amaren, Karunakaran, SA Chandrasekar, YG Mahendran, and others. The film produced by Suresh Kamathchi's V House Productions has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
