Hours after the success of ISRO's Chandrayaan-3 mission, many film producers have come forward to register the titles for their movies, including 'Chandrayaan-3', 'Mission Chandrayaan-3', 'Vikram Lander', 'Bharat Chand Par', etc. An official of the Indian Motion Picture Producers Association (IMPPA), on the condition of anonymity, said 'We are receiving much more applications. Next week, we will be reviewing all these requests, and only a few will be granted permission.' In an interview with News18, the official added, 'After the Pulwama attacks, we got more than 30-40 title applications, and they were almost the same, and not many films or web series were made on the incident. We are planning to approve only those that we find genuine.' On the other hand, trade analyst Taran Adarsh also reacted to it and said, 'I am not surprised with the rush to register titles around Chandrayaan-3. In the past, we have had films like Mission Mangal and Rocketry: The Nambi Effect, which have been successful with A-list actors. We also had Rocket Boys, which has had two successful seasons on OTT. I am sure that very soon someone will announce a film based on India’s Moon mission.' Notably, India has become the first country in the world to make a successful soft landing on the south pole of the moon on August 23. For more news and updates, stay tuned to ETimes.
