'Kabir Singh' famed director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's highly-anticipated film 'Animal' has finally hit the theatres today. The reviews are seemingly positive, garnering immense love from fans. Recently, the filmmaker clarified why he decided to let go of Parineeti Chopra and brought Rashmika Mandanna instead on board the film. In an interview, Vanga shared that when they did the trial shoot with Pari, he found her unsuitable as he had envisioned Geetanjali and told her the same. He further added that the actress was disappointed, but he had to take a call for the film. Notably, the film was announced back on January 1, 2021 and revealed the cast as Ranbir Kapoor, Bobby Deol,Anil Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra. However, a year later, it was reported that Parineeti had left the film, and the reason behind her walkout was said to be Imtiaz Ali’s 'Chamkila' with Diljit Dosanjh. And eventually, she was replaced by Rashmika Mandanna, leaving Pari's fans very upset. Meanwhile, fans are heaping praises on the on-screen chemistry of Ranbir and Rashmika and stating that the filmmaker made the right choice. One fan wrote, 'Rashmika suits the Telugu girl role more than Parineeti. Not talking about acting, just look wise.' 'Animal' is a gritty crime thriller and narrates a story of how a son undergoes a remarkable transformation as the bond with his father begins to fracture.
