More than two months after President Donald Trump declared that a breakthrough agreement with Iran was just weeks away, no final deal has emerged. Despite repeatedly claiming that negotiations were close to completion and that Tehran was eager to reach an agreement, diplomatic efforts remain unresolved. Trump has publicly predicted an imminent deal at least 37 times since March while continuing to insist that progress is being made.
