President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has denied reports that the United States asked Türkiye to host Venezuelan leader Nicolas Maduro in exile before his capture. The statement follows a high-risk U.S. military operation that seized Maduro and his wife and flew them to New York to face drug trafficking charges. American media reports had suggested Washington offered Maduro a peaceful exit, including possible exile, which he reportedly rejected. Erdogan’s denial adds to the growing international fallout and debate over legality, sovereignty, and regional stability.
