Kiss controversy erupts as Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman's gesture sparks outrage

A recent incident at an EU conference in Berlin involving Croatian Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić-Radman and his German counterpart, Annalena Baerbock, has ignited a new kiss controversy. During a group photograph, the 65-year-old Radman attempted to kiss Baerbock on the cheek, which led to criticism from feminist groups and politicians in both Croatia and Germany. Baerbock politely offered her cheek but quickly turned away, appearing uncomfortable. Grlić-Radman, a member of Croatia's largest political party, defended his actions, expressing no harmful intent and apologizing if he made Baerbock uncomfortable. However, Croatian women's rights activist Rada Boric deemed the move "highly inappropriate." The incident has raised questions about appropriate behavior and consent in professional settings.
