A shooting early Sunday outside a banquet hall in Hialeah, Florida, killed two people and injured 23, Miami Dade County officials said Monday. Maj. Jorge Aguiar of the Miami-Dade Homicide Bureau told reporters at a news conference that three people got out of an SUV and opened fire on the crowd outside the venue, which had been rented out for a concert. Aguiar said the shooting was the result of "ongoing rivalry from two different groups."No arrests have been made. The grieving father of one of the victims interrupted the news conference in tears, screaming that those responsible "killed a good kid" and "must burn." "We know that are our intended target was most likely in front of the establishment when the shooting took place. And that's what we're trying to work now with our investigators," Aguiar said. Meanwhile, a separate shooting on Friday night killed one and injured six others about 13 miles away. And authorities were calling on the public to help identify the shooters. "These despicable shootings in Northwest Dade and in Wynwood are acts of – are shameful acts of violence that have left innocent people dead and injured. In total, over 30 people shot and three dead so far. This is unacceptable," Miami Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said. "Let me be very clear: we will do everything, everything we can and use every resource available to bring these people to justice…We must get these killers off the streets. We can only do it with your help," she added.
