REPORT: Vance Blocked Mossad Plan Involving Kurdish Fighters Against Iran During Early Days Of War

A major geopolitical rift may be widening behind the scenes of the Iran conflict. A report by Yedioth Ahronoth claims US Vice President JD Vance blocked a covert plan linked to Israel’s intelligence agency Mossad to topple Iran’s leadership. According to the report, the proposal — tied to Mossad chief David Barnea — outlined a dramatic multi-phase strategy, beginning with the assassination of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and other top officials, followed by the installation of a leadership aligned with Israeli interests. The plan reportedly included a second phase involving Kurdish forces advancing into Iran, alongside expectations of mass internal unrest. However, Vance and other White House officials are said to have pushed back against the proposal, signaling deep concerns within Washington over escalation risks. The report also claims US President Donald Trump had approved the plan during a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu — highlighting potential divisions at the highest levels of leadership.
