Shanghai: CCTV footage shows toddler who lost his way found by police

Recently in Shanghai, a two-and-a-half-year-old toddler living in the northern Baoshan District left home and wandered onto the street with no shoes on, when the parents weren’t paying attention. At 1:10 am that day, a toddler with bare feet and diapers appeared at the entrance of a residential compound. Just as the child was about to stagger onto the road, he was spotted by Mr. Liu, a resident who was passing by. In order to prevent the child from being afraid of seeing strangers, Mr. Liu stopped several ladies passing by while calling the police to comfort the toddler. After gaining the kid’s trust, Mr. Liu held him in his arms for a while. Five minutes later, the police from Luodian Police Station arrived at the scene. But the toddler was too young to provide useful information of his parents. Just when everyone was at a loss, a young couple rushed out. After the police checked the information, the toddler was returned to the young couples’ arms safe and sound in the end.
