A tragic road accident in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar has claimed multiple lives after a pickup van carrying labourers overturned. According to Union Minister Savitri Thakur, the vehicle lost control due to high speed and rolled several times, leading to severe casualties.The injured have been rushed to Indore for treatment, with some reported to be in critical condition. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed deep grief over the incident and announced an ex-gratia of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹50,000 for the injured from the PMNRF.Authorities, including the Chief Minister, have taken immediate cognisance as rescue and relief efforts continue. The incident has once again highlighted concerns over road safety and overspeeding.
