'Who Made Those Comments': Trump Aide Caught Off-Guard On Question About Anti-India Remarks From US

U.S. secretary of state Marco Rubio on Sunday was caught off guard when questioned about recent racist comments hurled against India from the United States. During a press meet with Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar in New Delhi, Rubio said that "stupid people exist in every country". Earlier, Rubio held talks with Jaishankar in an effort to steady ties that have fallen to their lowest point over the two decades. His visit comes during an economic and diplomatic downturn between the United States and India, strained largely by U.S. President Donald Trump's tariff policies that raised duties on several Indian exports.
