Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived in Florida on Monday for talks with Donald Trump, as the US president pushes to advance the next stage of a fragile Gaza ceasefire plan. Trump strongly praised Netanyahu, calling him a “wartime prime minister” who led Israel through a period of trauma, adding the country might not exist under different leadership. Trump said Hamas must disarm before moving to phase two of the truce. The Mar-a-Lago meeting is their fifth in the US this year, amid concerns negotiations are stalling.
