MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal addressed US Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard’s remarks on Pakistan, pointing to the country’s history of clandestine nuclear nonproliferation and the global risks it poses. Gabbard, in her 2026 Annual Threat Assessment before the US Senate, named Russia, China, North Korea, Iran, and Pakistan as the top nuclear threats to the United States. She highlighted that these nations are developing advanced missile systems with nuclear and conventional payloads capable of reaching US territory. China and Russia are working on technologies to bypass US missile defenses, while Pakistan’s ballistic missile program could include ICBMs capable of striking the US, underscoring ongoing international security concerns.
