'Fastest Man In India Wears Whites': Indian Navy Lauds Gurindervir Singh As He Sets National Record

Indian Navy officer Gurindervir Singh created history at the 29th National Federation Cup Athletics Championships in Ranchi by becoming the first Indian to clock 10.09 seconds in the men’s 100m race. With the record-breaking sprint at Birsa Munda Athletics Stadium, Gurindervir set a new national record and also qualified for the 2026 Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Celebrating the achievement, the Indian Navy posted on X that “The Fastest Man In India Wears Whites,” praising the sprinter’s speed, dedication and achievement. Gurindervir said he was delighted with the performance and credited mental strength for his success, adding that staying mentally strong during the race helped him perform at his best. His run marked the first time an Indian has finished the 100m in under 10.1 seconds.
