He also emphasised the importance of stronger ties between India and Europe, describing the India EU partnership as crucial in a time when global geopolitics is rapidly shifting. The Finnish leader noted that India’s pragmatic foreign policy and strategic autonomy have earned global respect. He further underlined expanding cooperation between Finland and India across sectors ranging from technology and satellites to green energy and quantum innovation. According to Stubb, India and its partners in the Global South will play a decisive role in shaping the direction of the future international system.
