External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has spoken to UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reviewing the fast-changing situation triggered by Iran’s missile and drone activity. The UAE has already faced multiple aerial threats, highlighting the growing danger. For India, this is more than a regional issue. It directly impacts energy security, trade routes, and the safety of its citizens. New Delhi is engaging all sides, including Iran, while maintaining strong ties with Gulf partners. Safe passage for Indian vessels through the Strait of Hormuz has already been secured through direct negotiations. This reflects India’s ability to navigate complex geopolitical tensions.
