Manmohan Singh counters 'proprietorship' charge, says Congress a democratic party

Reacting to a question over a purported
leaked tape in which former Union minister Manish Tewari is reportedly heard
saying that Congress is a family proprietorship, former Prime Minister Manmohan
Singh said that the party is fully democratic and anyone can approach senior
leaders with their grievances. However, he added that the final decision on any
matter is taken by the party high command. He also said that the Congress
Working Committee meets very frequently and issues within the party are
discussed there.
