The World Health Organisation has said that the global monkeypox cases have crossed 14,000 and that five deaths have been reported till now. WHO Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus has said that most cases have been found in Europe, mostly in men who have sex with men. However, all the deaths have been reported in Africa, where most outbreaks have been reported historically. On July 21, the WHO will meet to decide if the monkeypox outbreak is a global health emergency.
