In the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung, parts of Chennai were seen flooded affecting the daily lives of the citizens. Cyclone Michaung made landfall on the southern Indian coast on December 05. The Arumbakkam area of Chennai remained waterlogged following heavy rainfall. A local hotel staff was seen helping a foreign guest to cross waterlogged streets to reach his car in Chennai's Arumbakkam area. Meanwhile, rescue workers have been deployed to evacuate residents from affected areas. As of now, six deaths have been reported in the Greater Chennai Police jurisdiction because of the cyclone Michaung, reported Chennai Police. Cyclone Michaung has weakened into a depression over northeast Telangana, the India Meteorological Department informed today.
