Commuters on a Jahangirpuri-bound train were in for a rude shock when they were asked to deboard at Chawri Bazar station. A flashing pantograph—the wire that runs the power for the overhead electricity (OHE) snapped at 8pm, forcing the Metro to evacuate 2,400 passengers. The busy Huda City Centre-Jahangirpuri line could resume normal services only at 9pm.
