‘Women and children are in distress in Afghanistan’: India’s Ambassador to UN

India’s Ambassador to United Nations TS Tirumurti while addressing the 15-member Security Council meet over the Afghanistan crisis raised concerns over unfortunate events taking place in Afghanistan. “We have seen very unfortunate scenes at Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul. There is widespread panic among the people. Women and children are in distress. Incidents of firing have been reported from the city including at the airport,” said TS Tirumurti.
