Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc made history at the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction on Tuesday, securing an unprecedented Rs 24.75 crore deal with the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). Starc, aged 33, is poised for an IPL comeback after an eight-year gap, previously playing for the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB). He outbid compatriot Pat Cummins, the World Cup-winning captain, who briefly held the record before joining Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) for a substantial Rs 20.50 crore.
