Wrestling Federation of India suspends wrestler Vinesh Phogat

Wrestler Vinesh Phogat was “temporarily suspended” by the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) on account of “misconduct” during their Tokyo Olympics campaign. The wrestler has been issued notice by the WFI and has been asked to reply by August 16. Vinesh has been suspended mainly due to three reasons. According to sources, Vinesh, during her stay at the Games Village in Tokyo, refused to share room with the other women wrestlers from India.
