Mamata Banerjee Set To Lose West Bengal, BJP To Win 192 Seats: Today's Chanakya Exit Poll

Today’s Chanakya exit poll for West Bengal projects a significant political change in the 2026 Assembly elections, with the BJP taking a strong lead. The survey estimates the BJP winning around 192 seats in the 294-member Assembly, backed by a 48% vote share, indicating a possible first-time government formation in the state. The All India Trinamool Congress (TMC), led by Mamata Banerjee, is projected to secure about 100 seats with a 38% vote share, suggesting a shift to the opposition after a long tenure in power. Other parties are expected to win only a few seats. The projection points to a highly competitive and changing political scenario in West Bengal.
