Mizoram Chief Minister Zoramthanga has declared that he will not share a platform with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during the latter's upcoming campaign visit for the forthcoming assembly elections. PM Modi is scheduled to visit Mamit town in the state's western region on October 30 to support BJP candidates. Zoramthanga cited the predominantly Christian population of Mizoram and expressed concerns about aligning with the BJP, referencing the past burning of churches in Manipur. He emphasized that supporting the BJP at this juncture would be detrimental to his party, given the sentiments of the people of Mizoram.
