Late actor Sidharth Shukla was known for many things - his dashing looks, acting skills, charming personality, talent, joie de vivre, approach-ability, among other things. But one of the main reasons for his increasing fanbase was his humility and heart of gold. Much like Sidharth, who passed away suddenly on 2 September at a young age, Pratyusha Banerjee, his co-star from 'Balika Vadhu', the show that made him a household name, died young as well. Pratyusha, who played Anandi on the show, died in 2016. At just 24, she was found hanging at her Mumbai residence. Her then live-in boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh rushed her to a hospital but she was declared dead on arrival. No suicide note was found. Pratyusha and Sidharth were a much-loved pair and they were good friends. Sidharth was upset when Pratyusha died suddenly. However, no one knew that he had been in touch with the late actress' parents after her death. This detail was revealed by Pratyusha's father just recently in an interview with a news channel. Shankar Banerjee, reacting to the news of Sidharth's death, was quoted as saying, 'I can't understand how this happened. I considered him to be my son. During Balika Vadhu, Sidharth and Pratyusha had become close friends. He used to come home as well.' Watch the video for more details.
